A group of leading IT companies has joined Wal-Mart’s Sustainability Consortium to better define “green” in the electronics category. Dell, HP, Intel, and Toshiba—and electronics retailer Best Buy—will work with the Consortium’s researchers and NGO partners to create a system for rating electronics based on environmental and social aspects.
